Dr. Anne L. Ray - Practice Owner
Dr. Ray received her DVM degree from Auburn University in 1978. Post graduate work was at Kansas State University where she completed a residency in Internal Medicine while earning a Master of Science degree. In private practice since 1981, she established Laurel Park Animal Hospital in 1990.Dr. Ray is accredited by the US Dept.of Agriculture and therefore has been jointly approved to perform State-Federal animal health activities including the issuance of interstate and international health certificates and official testing of livestock in the response to possible bio-terrorism.
Professional organizational memberships include: Phi Zeta - honor society of veterinary medicine, Omega Tau Sigma - professional veterinary fraternity, American Veterinary Medical Association, Maryland Veterinary Medical Association, and the Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association.
"Veterinary medicine will always be a challenge in that it is constantly evolving while building on past information. That is why it is important to stay abreast of the newest medicines and diagnostics by attending continuing education meetings, reading the latest periodicals, and consulting with colleagues. Our clients deserve nothing less."
Her outside interests include flying, art films, cooking, and travel.

Eleanor Hopson - Hospital Administrator
Eleanor completed the veterinary technician program in 1972. She later left the profession to raise a family. She returned to the veterinary field and Laurel Park Animal Hospital is fortunate to have Eleanor as its hospital administrator.
"I love the adventure of each day working to help clients and their pets."
A true lover of animals, Eleanor's full house includes Pika, a Chihuahua, Bailey, a schnauzer and three cats, Pokey Mon, Jackson, and Licorice.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Eleanor has lived in Maryland for the past 20 years, has four children and one grandson. She enjoys the great outdoors with hiking and biking and the great indoors when cooking and baking. She also enjoys the arts, especially theater.

Priscilla Neal - Veterinary Technician
Priscilla started working with animals when she started pet sitting for a reputable pet sitting service. She then started working part-time as a veterinary assistant at Laurel Park Animal Hospital and was able to build on skills learned at her previous job.
She has since become invaluable to Laurel Park Animal Hospital particularly in her way with frightened and potentially difficult cats. Priscilla has been with us since 2000.
She has a Miniature Pincher named Max.
She has a strong interest in competitive pool and has participated twice in the national APA pool tournament in Las Vegas. She also enjoys horseback riding.
A Maryland native, she has two children and two grandchildren.

Bruce Dodgson - Receptionist
Although Bruce has a background in civil engineering, he found great enjoyment interacting with pups and their new owners while working in a local pet store.
Bruce joined Laurel Park Animal Hospital in November 2005 and has been a tremendous asset to the practice. His quiet professionalism is appreciated by clients and staff alike.
A true pet lover, he has had several cats and dogs over the years. Currently, Bruce and his wife Cherie have one parakeet named Chip and two Yorkshire Terriers named Pee Wee and Belle.
Bruce's interests include computers, video games, music, and old movies.

Kevin Biggs - Receptionist Kevin has been with Laurel Park Animal Hospital since 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
Kevin has been living in the Laurel area for over 10 years. He, and his wife Kim, have Dream a Bichon Frise, and Mille the cat.
His interests include bowling, football (go Steelers!), basketball, and traveling.
What does Kevin enjoy most about working at Laurel Park Animal Hospital? "I am really a pet person. I love the animals that come through Dr. Ray's practice along with the variety that each client and their pet brings with each visit." |

Christen Hopson - Kennel Assistant
Christen graduated from Bowie High School in 2003. She then worked at a local pet store where she cared for all creatures great and small - canines, felines, reptiles, rodents, and fish. While there she assisted the groomer and acquired valuable skills in handling mature pets.
She began working at Laurel Park Animal Hospital in 2004 and is a very important part in maintaining our quality patient care.
Christen's interests include movies, the theater, gourmet cooking, and her cute Chihuahua, Pika. |
